Fall ball registration will begin on August 22nd and August 29th from 10:00am - 6pm at the Roy Martin Center on Idle Hour Drive.

Please bring copy of birth certificate to registration.

Registration fee will be $50.00.

Practice will begin on September 7, 2009 and the first game will be on September 21, 2009.

All games will be played at the Airport Softball Complex.

2010 Phenix City Fast Pitch Board Members Election

The 2010 Phenix City Fast Pitch Board Members will be elected on September 18, 2009. This meeting will be held at the Roy Martin Center at 6:00 pm. All parents, friends and family are encouraged to attend and vote. There will be a $10.00 registration fee which will allow you to vote for the new Board. All individuals that would like to be part of the 2010 PCFP Board are also encouraged to attend the meeting. This is a very important part of our league and requires dedicated people to ensure that this league offers a safe and fun environment for our children.

RAIN OUT MAKE-UP GAMES

The rain out game from Tuesday May 26th for the 6,7,8 and 9 & 10 year old leagues will not be made up. The 11 & 12 year old game will be made up with a double header on Thursday May 28th and Monday June 1st between the Intimidators and the Titans.

ALL-STAR ANNOUNCEMENTS

The 2009 Spring All-Star draft will be conducted on June 14, 2009 at the following times:

12 year old All Star Team - 2:00 pm
11 year old All Star Team - 3:00 pm
10 year old All Star Team - 4:00 pm
9 year old All Star Team - 5:00pm

All-Star team announcements will be made on June 14, 2009 after the draft by the team coaches.

FALL BALL

Registration for fall ball will be available Saturday, May 30th 2009 at Central High School during the Saturday game session. Fall ball practice will begin September 7, 2009. Games will begin September 21, 2009.

Additional fall ball registration dates will be listed at a later time.

Opening Day will be held at the Central High School Girls Softball Fields. Opening games will begin at 9:30 am. Following will be a break down of the games and times in which the teams will be playing:

OPENING CEREMONIES

Opening ceremonies tonight have been moved to the Roy Martin Center due to the weather. The ceremonies will start at 7:00 pm. Please have your girls there no later than 6:45 pm. We are excited to have our President of Phenix City Fast Pitch, Jamie Graham, there as well as our guest speakers, Coach Bobby Cook, Central High School as well as Coach Purdue from Glenwood. We will be introduing the 2008 All-Star State Champions. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight and are especially ready to, PLAY BALL!

CITY COUNCIL MEETING - MARCH 3, 2009 @ 9:00am

Coaches and Parents:

Rodney Niles spoke with the Mayor who stated that it was not necessary for us to attend the work session on Monday March 2, 2009 at 4:00 pm but that Rodney Niles could read a letter on behalf of the league. The Board Members met and created a letter on behalf of the league to address our concerns.

We are asking that your presence be at this meeting. The meeting will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 9:00 am. This will be held on the first floor of the Police Department. We would like for as many people who can attend to please come to this meeting. It is imperative that we have as many people that can attend to be there to support our league.

All players have been drafted as of February 9, 2009. You should be receiving a call from your coach regarding which team you will be on as well as when your practices will begin. We hope that each and every girl has a great season and check back to the blog to see photos of some of your games. FREE FASTPITCH CLINIC

COACHES DRAFT MEETING

Monday, February 9, 2009 at CB&T Bank 13th St. Phenix City in the conference room

6:30 pm to 7:30 pm - 6,7,8

7:30 pm to 8:30 pm - 9,10

8:30 pm to 9:30 pm - 11,12

If you are coaching you will need to attend this meeting as you will be drafting your players at this time.

LATE REGISTRATION

Late Registration will be held this weekend (January 31 & Feb 1) during try outs from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Please remeber that try outs will be held at the Airport Fields (off Airport Road). We encourage each girl to attend both days. Be sure to bring a glove to try outs. The league can provide a helmet and bat if needed. Please feel free to sign your child up at that time.

REGISTRATION SPRING 2009

IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN…SPRING 2009 FAST PITCH SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
Registration will begin on January 10, 2009 for the Spring Fast Pitch Season. Registration will be held at the Roy Martin Center on Airport Road (beside Moon Lake) from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Registration will also be on the following days:
January 11, 2009 – 2:00pm – 6:00pm
January 17, 2009 – 9:00am – 2:00pm
January 18, 2009 – 2:00pm – 6:00pm
January 24, 2009 – 9:00am – 2:00pm
January 25, 2009 – 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Registration Fees: $60.00 (first child) $55.00 (second child) $50.00 (third child)

Be sure to bring your birth certificate as well as two proofs of residence to registration. All tryouts will be held at the Airport Softball Complex on Saturday January 31, 2009 at 2:00p.m. and Sunday February 1, 2009 at 2:00p.m. All girls are encouraged to attend both days. Players should bring glove, helmet and bat to the tryouts. If you do not have a bat or helmet, the league will provide for the tryouts. Also girls should wear appropriate clothing and shoes to the tryouts. Teams will be drafted after the tryouts. The coach will notify the player.
